It seems endless

He was restless.She was waiting.

He was hesitating.She started first.

And it all lead to an endless chatting.

I suffered a minor damage, but I don't mind.

We are humans.

Time is Short

You, you, you, the one I miss.
Can I just get a glance of you, just for a minute?

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Sighed. I feel like eating something sweet.

Pictures~!

It's Casa Subang, where (new intake) Taylorians live.

Haha, I promised you guys that I'll update some pictures real soon right? Well, I did took a few pictures here and there, just to proof my existence here in the college (not that I'm having trouble to do so. LOL) . Anyhow, classes started a little bit slow since it's only the introductions and mostly of the students haven't bought the books yet. It's too pricey, even for foundation studies. Tomorrow it's gonna be real hectic since teachers are planning to give assignments to us. Mr. VJ ,the lecturer for Legal Studies is going to let us do the Civil Participation Task, where I need to do a report about a legal case, which in this case I'm going for homeless people. You know something? America have been facing this problem for over than 2 decades already. And same goes for England and Australia. One thing I know for sure is that, house prices are sky-rocketing really fast in England. Can't wait to mention about the topic to Mr. VJ. I wanna know what he'd think about the topic. Curious, curious, curious.

That's Ms. Chow, our economics lecturer.

Irwan and Aisar, waiting for classes to start.

Radzi "Ray", Ayie and Lokman

Shaukat, Ridzuan (did I spell it right?) and Shafiq @ our own "Street Fest"

Also joining us are Hilal and Faiz

Let's just leave at that, shall we? Recently, in Taylor's, the Kelab Bina Insan had organized what they call a Street Fest. We went there with a bus and on the bus I met new people, new and interesting people. Especially the ICPU Veterinary girl. Sorry, I forgot the name! Yeah it's on the streets, but it's definitely not a fest. A few friends and me went there around 8 p.m just to find the foods were already finished and what's left was just the orange drink. So there's loud music, still it's not that fun, but they had done their best, so I must give them thanks for their heartiest effort into it. Well, we do have our own Street Fest at McDonald's that is. It's really entertaining when you ate with lots of people especially with your friends. At that very night, I took a bus straight back to Kedah to buy me a new laptop, since assignments are gonna start flowing in soon.

Envy me, won't you?

Haha, haha, haha, to those who aren't satisfied with how things are set up in our lives. It never ever crossed my mind to boast what ever I have and owned. NEVER. NADA. But when you shared your happiness, sincerely sharing tits and bits of it, and somehow is mistaken to be boasting about it, it kinda makes you feel, SATISFIED. And I'm telling to those who thinks that they are a greater kind of species than me simply just that they have a slimmer physique and a lot of girlfriends to spare, makes them a whole new, cool kind of breed. Well, lemme tell you something. I don't care about your slim physique, since I'm not bothered at all. I don't give a damn with your endless relationships with girls, simply I know it won't last at all. So, get off me and start living a life. I know you would like one. And yeah, it's too bad that your institution and your hostel doesn't rocks like ours. Simply you aren't fortunate enough. So get a LIFE, get a FRIEND, and start living it to the fullest. And yeah, I don't envy you.

It applies to those who keep misunderstanding me from being honestly happy to ungratefully boastful.

So a long update after many days of absence, right?

Well, our orientation week started at 14th July where most of SAM students gathered. Not much could be said except that there are lots of talks on how to save your ka-ching, (money, it is useful, in a way. But I can't simply be bothered since I'm busy with asking seniors where is the cheapest food that you could get around Taylor's :D). Lots of sponsorship bodies here, mainly from JPA and MARA. Some of them are Sime Darby, Bank Negara and Telekom. JPA students are doing law and accounting here while the MARA and the other sponsorship bodies are doing Medical, Biotechnology and Engineering.

It's a fun week to be exact but it can be tiring as well. You know something? I have to walk like half a kilometer just to find a cheap, decent food plus halal la. And to get to the nearest masjid, I won't mention about it at all. (IT IS DAMN FAR LAH) Anyway, my hostel(not hostel to be exact, it's a condominium) is cool (mainly I own a single room :D) and the house mates are nice. But then again, food is the problem here. It's hard to get tasty food without the price to be "tasty" as well. Who said life is not fair? We have to pay exactly what we got. Damn right.

Anyway, I haven't taken photos much. Later maybe I'll be uploading it soon. So bye-bye for right now.

Update Meh~

Adeh, it's been quite a while since I last updated my blog. You know, with the orientation and all. Classes are going to start next day, and it's going to be hectic any day soon. Anyway I will be posting some update real soon, not until I own my own laptop. :D

S.A.M stands for?

Hello kids! Welcome again to another session of the Spell-It-Right for beginners! Today we're going to spell something out of the ordinary. What is it? Yep, you've guess it right! The word is:

S.A.M

Well, let's repeat it all over again.

S.A.M

S.A.M is spelled as s.a.m. It stands for South Australian Matriculation. What's that? AUSMAT? No, no, SAM is different than AUSMAT. Okay, end of session.

I'm just bored so I thought I should do some explaining on what I'll be taking in Taylor's College.
Mind you, these are taken from the SAM websites since I myself have no idea what I'm going through. So bear with me ok? :DS

An International Passport to Learning

The South Australian Matriculation (S•A•M) program is an internationally recognised one-year pre-university matriculation program administered by the Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia (SSABSA). Now known as SACE Board of South Australia.

It provides an opportunity for students to study in their own country and build upon their local pre-matriculation studies. It is now the most popular Australian-based pre-university program in Malaysia, where it has been taught since 1982. It is now also being taught in China.

Students who successfully complete the S•A•M are accredited with the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), an award that is recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) . Students are provided with a university aggregate score (out of 90 marks) and a tertiary entrance rank (TER), a percentile ranking that is recognised without modification by all tertiary selection agencies in Australia, and used by universities around the world to select students for degree courses.

The S•A•M Program has given more than 25,000 students access to the SACE in their own country and has led to their acceptance by universities across the world, including in Australia, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

Advantages

The S•A•M offers:

  • proven learning techniques tailored to university study
  • a balanced choice of subjects leading to a variety of university degree courses
  • a mixture of school assessments and external examinations that assess students fairly
  • the flexibility for students to complete the program over an extended period
  • an opportunity for students to increase their tertiary entrance rank by repeating subjects without penalty.
The courses that I would be taking is;

-English as a Second Language/English studies
-Mathematics (I hope it's not another calculus)
-Economics
-Accounting
-Legal Studies

Don't play-play with me, I know the laws. Haha :D

I can't say I understand it so well, but I believe 50% of the final exam marks is contributed by the assignments, quizzes, tasks and etc. and the other 50% is from the final exam?.... and here is the part I'm confused.

Anyway, for a Law Studies, 60% of the final exam marks is contributed by the assignments, paper works, quizzes while for Accounting Studies, it is 70%.

So, Medical students! How much is your ratio?

Envy Me Not

Seems to some people, the idea of having a college like Taylor's to further my study, is fulfilling and something that should be envied by other sponsored students who'd happened to end up in other random colleges. Yes, I know Taylor's College is a prestigious college for a non-government college. It may be because they offered too much for their own students, in return they would want us to give them back good results in order to maintain their own good name.

I know we are in the center of the city but please think back about this. We have so much temptation just to attend our own class, such as Star Bucks and Mc Donald's which conveniently placed in front of our college. I know it's easy to say when you have everything within your reach. Just to let you know, no matter where you were placed, whether in the center of the city, or the outskirts of the district, you have to accept it gladly because we all go to the same level of institution with the same objective; to pursue our dreams by learning.

-----------------------------------------------
Another quiz to fill in my day:

Alone

Being Alone

Sure, it might not be a medical diagnosis, but it seems like you're the type who might break into hives when forced to spend unwanted time alone. There's just something about togetherness that you crave. In fact, being with friends and family makes you feel most comfortable.

Maybe it's your gregarious nature, maybe you just like to have company, or maybe you have so much to share that you need others around to absorb your knowledge and enthusiasm. Regardless of what you love about being one-on-one or in a group, one thing seems clear, you can feel a little sickly when you're on your own.

It seems I'm allergic to being lonely although I had been denying this fact almost every time when someone ask me. :D

Which Brain I'm using?

Left

Left-brained

Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others.

It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

-------------------------------------------------

Right, now I'm a left brainer. I guess it is true since I'm a logical thinker. But the fact they said that I'm good with maths is quite questionable since I'm not really good with Additional Maths, but I love Algebra. :D

On Halt

I'm posting from Kerteh, Terengganu. Why is that when I'm supposed to be in Subang Jaya right now? The truth is, I ran away from the Taylor's College. Nah, just kidding. Haha :D Actually, the orientation won't start until this coming Monday which is 14th July, and I will be free during that one week period to do anything as I please, just that I won't be able to do so, since I'm not really good with directions and transportation. So, I decided to follow Kak Ifa home which is why I'm here right now and luckily Kak Ifa had subscribed to Celcom Broadband, which is a big relief for me. Don't blame me for being an heavy Internet user. And thinking about that, I feel quite uneasy to stay at the new place since I can't connect to the Internet without having a laptop. Oh talk about discomforting. I don't mind having a single bed and I also don't mind not having an aircond in my bedroom, just I can't bear not having an Internet connection! Need a laptop ASAP.

It's the Taylor's College compound.

In front of Taylor's College.

Okay, enough of my own suffering, let's talk about what's there in Taylor's. In front of my college, in a row, there's a Mc Donald and also the Starbucks(like I'm going into one for a sip of coffee for the price of RM 12.00.) And there are cafes, rich kids cafe I would call it. And according to Abang Khairul, the whole area is quite an expensive area to live in. I seriously need to starve a little bit just to get by. -_-||| Well, I'll try my best to. Anyway, not much that I know currently since there's no orientation yet. Well, the compound is quite nice anyway.

The View Above

This is the view from my "hostel" in Subang Jaya, which is the 20th floor of Casa Subang. Mind you, that the unit is still new so, a lot of cleaning needs to be done since the floors are damn dirty and the toilet is quite unsastifactory to be used as well. Ok, lets put them aside first. Casa Subang offers the student a swimming pool, various kind of courts, a bakery, an unisex hair saloon and also it is near Mydin, Giant, and also The Summit. Talk about easy reach of things. How convinient! Just that it is quite far from the college itself. 20-30 minutes of bus ride to the Taylor's College. I need to ride the bus at about 7.45 a.m and leaves for the hostel at about 3.00 p.m. Now all that is left is to clean up the unit and also learn to move around Subang Jaya using all those public transports. I'm not used to public transport to get by, since in Alor Star, they didn't offer the same thing, so I get by using cars. :D Anyway, I'm going to Sunway Piramid later.

Going Now!

Hey all, I'm going today, which is Friday. And this won't be my last post mind you. I will do some updates from time to time just it wont be that regularly as always. Well, say good luck to me, cause I'm going away from where I'm currently living. Selangor is welcoming me. :D

Busy Days

Wah, I've got less and less time to even surf the net these days. Well, I've been doing last minute shopping for three days straight. Lotsa clothes needs to be bought since the Taylor's College receptionist (I assumed) mentioned that students need to wear Collared shirts. I'll be leaving soon, which is in a few days and I can't hardly wait. Later, need to do some packing up!
